Community Speed Watch
With our volunteer numbers falling over the past year the Parish Council Speed Watch scheme is on hold at present. We have been assured that our local police are happy to support the scheme and the aim is now to recruit a team of volunteers.
We will be holding an information session sometime over the coming months and hope that residents will come along to learn how the scheme works and if interested what is involved in becoming a volunteeer.
Speed Watch sessions do make a difference and our aim is to relaunch the scheme as soon as we possible can. We will ensure that all residents are informed when the information meeting will take place.
In the meantime please get in touch if you would like futher information about Speedwatch.

Fantastic News - due to the hard work carried out be our Speed Watch Team over recent years Durham Constabulary continues to include Etherley Parish on the rota for deploying the Mobile Safety Camera unit in the Parish on a regular basis.
Thank you Cllr. Balmer
After 8 years of volunteering with our Community Speed Watch scheme Cllr. Balmer has decided to step down as co-ordinator.
Cllr. Balmer was instrumental in setting up the scheme and her commitment and hard work is much appreciated.
The work goes on to help reduce speeding traffic travelling through the Parish - get in touch if you are interested in helping.
