Play Area

 Improvements  to the Play Area since 2023have been well received.  

Our Parish now has as children's recreation area suitable for all age groups.  

                   Expenditure for the improvements was met by  Durham County Council through the Section 106 funding scheme.  This enables Parish and Town Council to apply for funding for leisure purposes for their community.

Since early 2023 over £35,000 has been sourced to make the improvements possible with no impact on the Parish Council Precept.

It's great to see so many children using the equipment and the positive feedback from parents and carers has been  very much appreciated.
